EDF Energy increases its prices

EDF Energy has become the latest energy supplier to increase its prices. Families are on average paying up to £1000 per year on energy bills.

Npower increased its gas charges by an average of 17 per cent and by almost 13 per cent for electricity for its 4.1 million customers earlier this month.

Many now think that it is matters of time before the rest of the energy suppliers increase their prices.

Unfortunately, the energy price increase come on top of other increases in prices paid for food, mortgages as well as petrol.

In addition, some energy suppliers are introducing prices based on the area or region that their customers live in. Those living in London could face a 23% increase.
